About the inventor...
Alison Maute-Schiller, AirMax Breather™ inventor, is
a native of Richardson, Texas, where she attended
Richardson North JH and J.J. Pearce HS. She was a
serious band student from the start and was fortunate to
have Marion West and Peter Warshaw as her junior high and
high school band directors. During this time, Alison
studied flute privately for ten years with Claire Johnson,
through her junior year in college. Alison attended
the University of Houston where she had the wonderful
opportunity to be a member of the UH Wind Ensemble, under
the direction of Mr. Eddie Green. She also studied
flute with Dr. Kim Clark during her senior year. All
of these instructors were instrumental in Alison’s
music career.
Alison began teaching private flute lessons and group
masterclasses her sophomore year of college and has taught
for many prestigious band programs, such as: Spring
HS (Tom Bennett, director), Twin Creeks MS (Mark Chapman,
director), and Dean MS (Tom Harrington, director).
After graduating from college, Alison was a band director
in the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD in Northwest Houston at Arnold
MS (Jim McConaughey and Cazandra MacDonald, directors) and
Cook MS (Tye Ann Payne, director).
Alison is currently enjoying teaching private flute lessons
at Jersey Village HS (Denis Kidwell, director) and at Cook
MS (Tye Ann Payne, director). She is also the general
partner of Sage Dynamics, L.P. When
she is not busy teaching or running her business, Alison
enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and their
daughters Emma and Olivia.
Sage Dynamics, L.P. is dedicated to the
memory of two of Alison’s closest friends and
musicians, Amy Burgess (1971 - 1998) and Denise Jennings
(1976 - 2000). The letters of their first names can
be found intermixed in the name “Sage
Dynamics.”
